Reconnect with Your Body Through Yoga…Without Needing to be a Lululemon Model

Have you ever been in class and thought, "Why is the girl in the front row doing a headstand right now when we’re in child’s pose? Am I completely f*@king this up?"

With a long history of body dysmorphia and diet-obsession, I am passionate about helping others reclaim and reconnect with their bodies through yoga — without the need to be a Lululemon girlie or achieve the Instagram yoga aesthetic.

As a regular back row yogi myself (shout-out to my back row friends!), teaching has strangely been an easier transition than I expected, but I also know the intimidation that can come along with taking a group class

That’s where Bespoke Bliss comes in: my 1:1 customizable offering where I work with you directly to connect back with your body, at whatever stage or level of your practice you may be in.

What you won’t get from me:

  • Inversions, headstands, or arm balances

    • We’re keeping it simple and basic here!

  • Calorie tracking/burning language

    • I am an APPLE WATCH FREE ZONE.

  • Telling you the yoga cures all

    • The postures (asanas) themselves are not even all of yoga, so the movements alone are not your cure. But it’s an amazing tool.

What you will get from me:

  • True partnership, authenticity, and compassion

  • Tools for how to reconnect with your body through movement AND stillness, including breath work, restorative yoga, and chakra work.

  • FUN! Yoga is allowed to be fun as well as a discipline.

  • Great playlists 🎸🎹

Here’s what Bespoke Bliss clients are saying:

“At every step throughout the process, Sarah has show up for me both mentally and physically, tailoring routines based on random body aches through the week (yay for mid 30s), as well life stressors. When I had an interview the day of our session, she worked on my chakras, when I was having back pain (yay for trampolines w nieces and nephews), Sarah tailored a session to stretch out my lower back. She listens, adapts and makes killer playlists!” - Laine B.

As a teacher, I want to be able to help everyone at any level while reminding them that yoga is an individual practice — despite often being practiced in a group setting.

Maybe you’re looking to get more flexible. Maybe you want more tools for how to chill the f*ck out after work. Or maybe you want to make sure you have your basics down. Whatever it is, I’m here for you. So let’s work together!

About Me:

A dancer for 14 years (where I was always placed in the back row, hence the name!), I eventually turned to practicing yoga in graduate school, where I found it to be a great relief from my ever-looming dissertation. Years later, I took the leap to become a certified instructor and have been growing my teaching ever since.

I’m certified in vinyasa and restorative yoga and am continually gaining education and certifications in areas around self-care, wellbeing, and health. I love sharing what I learn and spreading awareness. For example, if you’ve met me, I’ve probably already mentioned pelvic physical therapy at least once!
